The Sr. Design Engineer, reporting to the Design Group Manager, is responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle. The engineer will collaborate with various departments to continually enhance our product lines and surpass customer expectations.

Education/Experience

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • 4-6 years in a progressive engineering role, preferably in design engineering
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Creo or similar CAD software
  • Project management skills are advantageous
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and electrical circuits is beneficial
  • Understanding of current farming practices and equipment is a plus
  • Safety and LEAN training are assets

Accountabilities

  • Create and maintain computer models and drawings for all product lines using change management processes
  • Perform design analysis and refinements
  • Prepare and follow testing reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to develop design solutions
  • Identify improvements in quality, costs, and features
  • Adhere to internal standards and policies

Work Conditions

  • Primarily office environment with shop exposure during prototyping and testing
  • Manual dexterity required for computer and peripherals
  • Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils, requiring PPE
  • Potential for job-related stress due to deadlines, meetings, and responsibilities
