Heavy Plant Engineer – Workshop Based Role Location: Southampton Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Basic DOE + Overtime We are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to join our clients team, based at their Southampton depot. This role offers a competitive salary, overtime opportunities and training. The Role: Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery. Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults. Work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment. Provide excellent customer service if attending breakdowns and carrying out scheduled maintenance. Complete all necessary documentation and reports efficiently.Requirements: Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Engineer, or similar role. Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, including excavators, dump trucks, bulldozers, and telehandlers. Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues. A self-motivated and proactive approach to work.What’s on Offer: £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (dependent on experience). Overtime opportunities to boost earnings.
