Sales Branch Manager – Hydraulic / Pneumatic Components and Systems
DJ Industrial, founded in 1969 and part of SunSource, has evolved from a small hose and fitting outlet to a leading designer and manufacturer of pneumatic, hydraulic, and precision machined components and systems. We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Industrial Business Unit (SBU), overseeing customer service and operations to meet financial and operational goals. The General Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager of the SBU.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for overall branch sales
- Oversee teams in Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Warehouse, and Assembly
- Lead cross-functional teams
- Manage sales and margin goals
- Develop short- and long-term objectives aligned with SBU guidelines
- Plan and manage budgets according to approved plans
- Support sales growth, inventory management, and gross profit margin improvements via the Regional Customer Service Manager
- Ensure smooth order flow and operational efficiency through the Director of Operations
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulations
- Foster a positive workplace climate and employee development
- Maintain effective communication across functional areas
- Build and maintain customer and public relations
- Review staffing plans and administer salary and retention policies
Experience, Education, and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of management experience
- Preferred experience in fluid power distribution industry
- Strong sales skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills
