• 8–10 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles
• Financial enterprise experience, ideally within banking or similar environments
• Proven ability to make sound technical decisions independently, within tooling and governance frameworks
• Strong experience with Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary)
• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Splunk for logging and monitoring
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, SRE principles, and platform operationalization
• Experience with incident management, monitoring, and production-readiness checklists
• Ability to work across teams:
• Application teams
• Cloud services team
• Cloud security team (especially around secrets management and validation)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience with Dynatrace for monitoring
• Familiarity with Atlassian suite migration (Jira, Confluence)
• Exposure to Artifactory migration and Ansible automation
Job Description
Overview:
The DevOps Platform team is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to support a critical phase of their cloud transformation initiative. This role will focus on driving the migration of applications from on-premises infrastructure to Azure, ensuring operational readiness, platform stability, and alignment with our clients cloud governance standards.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep technical expertise, strong decision-making capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across platform, application, and security teams.
