The Role
They are looking for a Director of Product Innovation to take charge of their overall product strategy. This individual will shape the long-term product vision, driving forward-thinking solutions that connect linguistic expertise with the latest in artificial intelligence and automation. Acting as the bridge between executive leadership, technology teams, and commercial stakeholders, the Director will ensure every product aligns with customer needs while supporting the organization’s strategic goals.
The Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a product vision that aligns with business objectives and industry trends, ensuring offerings remain competitive and relevant.
- Roadmap Ownership: Build and manage product roadmaps, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term innovation, while overseeing timely and high-quality execution by technical teams.
- Market and Competitive Intelligence: Monitor emerging technologies, customer behaviors, and competitive shifts to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, marketing, engineering, and senior leadership to align priorities and maximize efficiency.
- Performance and Impact Measurement: Develop KPIs to assess product adoption, client satisfaction, and overall business value; adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
The Requirements
- Industry Expertise: 5–10+ years of experience in the localization, content management, or related technology sectors, with hands-on knowledge of translation workflows, CAT tools, TMS, and CMS integrations.
- AI and Automation: Strong background in applying machine translation (NMT, LLMs, post-editing), generative AI, RAG, and other AI-driven tools to optimize content pipelines. Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or API-driven AI platforms is a plus.
- Business Acumen: Proven ability to evaluate financial impact, analyze market data, and align product strategies with larger commercial objectives. Familiarity with various language services business models (B2B and B2C) is preferred.
- Product Management Fundamentals: Demonstrated success in building and scaling roadmaps, managing MVP-to-market lifecycles, leading cross-functional teams, and prioritizing initiatives based on ROI and client impact.
- Communication Skills: Excellent at conveying complex technical and strategic ideas to a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
