You will have the opportunity to work on various design projects as a designer and on construction projects as an inspector. This position will be based in Toronto, Ontario. You will be working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. In additional to civil, you will have exposure to structural, traffic, environmental, geotechnical, foundations, pavement, rail and electrical disciplines.**Your role within the team:*** Assist in the preparation of preliminary and detailed Civil/municipal design as directed by the Project Manager or Design Lead.* Prepare and update design drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.* Assist in preparation of contract packages including design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.* Monitor, observe, and evaluate construction work to ensure it conforms with the Contract Documents and quality requirements.* Ensure that the contractor is taking the necessary steps to meet quality standards. Registered as an Engineer-in-Training in the province of Ontario (PEO).* Minimum 3 years of Civil Engineering experience as a Civil/Municipal designer for linear infrastructure projects.* Experience with Ontario and/or TAC geometric design standards for roads and underground utility design. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, MS Project.* Good understanding of construction best practices, regulations, and standards.
