Position Overview
Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Lawyer with 3–6 years of commercial litigation experience to join its dynamic Advocacy Group . The successful candidate will work alongside highly skilled teammates, senior advocates, and experienced mentors to deliver exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advance a variety of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, facts, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare written opinions.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver high-quality service.
Qualifications
- LL.B. or J.D. and member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta (or eligibility for membership).
- 3–6 years of post-call experience in **commercial litigation**.
- Proven client management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent drafting, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
