What is the opportunity?
As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) team, the Senior Analyst, Enterprise Model Risk Management will validate credit-related capital markets models used for financial and regulatory reporting for RBC trading activities. The ideal candidate will identify and escalate material issues related to model risk, provide consultancy to model stakeholders on technical solutions, and design model performance monitoring frameworks.
What will you do?
- Take ownership of assigned models to provide effective testing and oversight of model risk.
- Deliver validation reports, technical documents, and testing code in a timely manner.
- Streamline and automate validation tests where possible.
- Identify and communicate model limitations and escalate issues to management.
- Consult with Market Risk, Finance, and Global Valuations on technical model issues.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Graduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Financial Engineering, or Economics.
- Knowledge of derivative pricing models and risk management methodology.
- Experience with computational techniques like Monte Carlo simulation and PDE solving.
- Strong programming skills: C/C++ and Python preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in mathematical modeling roles such as model validator, developer, or risk quant.
- FRM, PRM, or CFA certification.
