We are seeking a motivated Network & Systems Engineer to support the daily operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. This role is part of a collaborative team responsible for supporting network systems, server environments, end-user hardware, and security systems across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of networking and systems engineering, with strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, enterprise IT environment.
This is a hands-on, on-site position based in Oklahoma City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support for IT infrastructure including network hardware, servers, and end-user systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of server and network systems
- Assist in the configuration, deployment, and support of servers, storage, network devices, and end-user computers
- Participate in network and server maintenance tasks including upgrades, backups, patching, and documentation
- Support and administer LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall configurations under the guidance of senior engineers
- Assist in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and cloud service (AWS/Azure) administration
- Perform routine physical security checks and support access control systems, CCTV, and facility badge issuance
- Work with IT vendors for hardware/software procurement and support coordination
- Travel as required for equipment setup, troubleshooting, or infrastructure support at remote locations
- Respond to issues reported by the NOC or service desk and assist in resolution
- Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours maintenance activities as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience (e.g., helpdesk, networking, or systems support)
- Associate’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience/training
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware, networking, and operating systems
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Experience supporting Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Familiarity with firewalls and VPN configuration (brand-agnostic)
- Exposure to VMware, SANs, and data center equipment is a plus
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) preferred
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs; some physical work in server rooms may be required
- Must pass a 10-year background check and drug screen
Certifications (Preferred, but not required):
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
- Microsoft Certified (e.g., MTA, MCP)
- Other relevant technical certifications
Work Conditions:
- Office and data center environment; moderate noise level
- Some work performed after-hours or on weekends during maintenance windows
- Occasional travel to branch offices (TX, OK, DC)
- On-call support rotation required
