About Our Medical Craft

As the single largest medical team integrated across a single agency, the Medical team uncovers scientific truth through our board expertise in science and regulatory, medical strategy, medical communications, and value, access and reimbursement. The Medical team assumes responsibility for understanding the clinical aspects in depth to discover unique offerings and believes in the importance of shaping the brand-building process as early as possible: forming the scientific narrative, the language included in the label, and identifying where the brand plays in the buying process.

Job Details

We are looking for a Senior Engagement Director to join our Scientific Innovation and Medical Communications department. The Senior Engagement Director plays a pivotal role in leading client engagement strategy, driving execution excellence, and shaping innovative solutions that advance client objectives. This role combines hands-on team and client management leadership with strategic stewardship and guidance.

Senior Engagement Directors assume responsibility for understanding medical communications strategy in depth while leading cross-functional teams to deliver excellence in execution. They partner closely with clients to anticipate evolving needs, identify growth opportunities, and ensure our solutions deliver measurable impact. This role requires balancing strategic leadership with operational oversight—guiding the internal team while working in concert with medical communications leadership to ensure long-term business growth.

The Senior Engagement Director, working in close conjunction with the project management team and other internal stakeholders, ensures all projects are delivered on time, on budget, on strategy, and in alignment with regulatory and healthcare compliance requirements. This individual must be adept at building trusted client relationships, mentoring teams, and contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.


Knowledge/Expertise

  • Advanced understanding of both commercial and medical affairs medical communications, as well as applicable pharmaceutical/healthcare industry regulations and compliance criteria
  • Strong grasp of healthcare, technology, and digital innovation trends, with the ability to translate insights into strategic opportunities.

Strategic Skills/Tools

  • Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs and design solutions that align with both scientific integrity and business objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of client business drivers, competitive landscape, and broader industry dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge medical objectives with strategic recommendations that deliver value.

Client Relationships

  • Serve as a senior partner to client stakeholders, leading key strategic discussions and planning sessions.
  • Proactively build and strengthen trusted client relationships through insight, innovation, and consistent value delivery.
  • Represent Klick Health at conferences and events, ensuring engagement and thought leadership visibility.
  • Ensure all communications meet Klick Health standards and contribute to a positive client experience.

Business Development

  • Lead the development of proposals, pitches, and strategic presentations for new and organic business opportunities.
  • Partner with medical communications senior leadership to identify new market opportunities and expand client portfolios.
  • Contribute to shaping strategic offerings that differentiate Klick Health in the medical communications space.

Teamwork/Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire Client Services teammates, as well as other and cross-functional team members, to deliver innovative communication programs.
  • Actively contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work environment.
  • Foster integration across scientific, digital, creative, and regulatory disciplines to deliver seamless solutions.

Creativity/Innovation/Engagement

  • Drive idea generation for brand planning, tactical innovation, and strategic program design.
  • Identify and implement emerging best practices in medical communications, technology, and digital engagement.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous innovation and creative problem-solving across teams.

Financial Accountability

  • Oversee financial health of assigned accounts, including forecasting, budget management, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of timesheets, budgets, and expense reports.
  • Support medical communications senior leadership in financial planning and growth strategies.
