Job Description
As a Head of Finance, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals.
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.
- Managing and mentoring the accounting and finance team to achieve operational excellence.
- Providing actionable insights through financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Collaborating with other departments to optimise resource allocation.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Identifying financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Finance should have:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent (preferred).
- At least 10-12 years of experience with retail background; Big 4 experience will be a plus.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Experience in managing and leading a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
