We are seeking a leader with a proven track record in academic vision, results-driven leadership, and expertise in learning science. This role involves unifying execution across diverse school models, elevating academic standards, and representing the movement grounded in scientific research.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop academic frameworks translating learning science into curriculum and app design guidance.
- Lead academic reviews ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Analyze data and observations to identify barriers and propose interventions.
- Maintain strategic focus on student learning goals through planning and feedback.
- Represent 2 Hour Learning at high-profile events and with educational stakeholders.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Engaging in isolated curriculum projects without systemic impact.
- Publishing research disconnected from student results.
- Delegating accountability without direct oversight.
- Using reputation or theory alone to persuade stakeholders.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in relevant fields.
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with proven outcomes.
- Experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
- Public thought leadership experience.
- Strong performance management skills.
- Data interpretation skills for diagnosing learning issues.
- Ability to engage directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with innovative school models or EdTech ventures.
- International or cultural education experience.
- Familiarity with mastery learning frameworks like Bloom’s 2 Sigma.
