As a Developer II (back-end), you will work alongside junior and senior members of the software development team for the Retail Media Platform. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and work on complex ad server logic to implement new features while maintaining code quality, API latency, and performance. You will develop and design backend systems that enable external advertisers to create, manage, and report advertising campaigns. Collaboration with FE developers, ML engineers, and analytics teams is expected.
What You Will Do:
- Develop a deep understanding of our application portfolio to provide solutions for current and future challenges.
- Design software components to improve our systems.
- Create design documents and documentation for maintenance and reuse.
- Collaborate to improve our software, environment, and processes, leveraging industry trends and personal experience.
- Guide and support development teams to overcome obstacles and keep initiatives on track.
- Translate project goals into organized technical tasks.
- Manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve critical issues.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- You have at least 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- You are passionate about producing quality software and open to new ideas.
- You prioritize delivering thoroughly tested code.
- You take ownership of bugs and proactively fix them.
- You are experienced in software estimation amidst complexity and uncertainty.
- You make decisions based on data and use tools to measure application aspects.
- You have developed large applications in team environments.
- You adapt well to change and work effectively with legacy code using refactoring techniques.
- You communicate effectively and can explain complex solutions simply.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Junit, Gradle, Go
- Swagger, Hoverfly
- Hibernate
- Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP
- GitLab, CI/CD, Sonarqube
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, security architecture, and cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, or AWS.
