Job Description Summary

All activities related to enhancing services technology, integrating customer data, or capturing engine/product reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt, and exempt employees, as well as managerial roles responsible solely for these activities. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or focusing on professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment, product integrity & compliance with GE values
  • Proactive leadership within the Airframer Customer Team
  • Engage independently with customers
  • Report interventions and follow up on related quality investigations
  • Issue work orders/dispositions to Technician team and/or coordinate/execute/oversee work scopes
  • Implement corrective actions through Daily Management for major maintenance activities or engine-caused disruptions as necessary
  • Respond to technical inquiries from customers
  • Provide after-hours support as necessary to meet delivery demands
  • Respond to non-technical customer inquiries
  • Handle data intelligence requests on aircraft status, sales, delivery, strategy
  • Deliver customer training and develop/maintain SOPs & guidelines
  • Manage local spare parts and tooling inventory, including import/export issues
  • Oversee Quality Management: NOE/QEM
  • Review ledger invoices with customers for engine work performed
  • Support EIS (customer setups)
  • Provide backup support for FSEs & assist customer support team as necessary
  • Handle engineering disposition requests as required
  • Maintain AOG responsiveness at airframer
  • Navigate diplomatically through volatile & potentially contentious issues

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Fleet Management, comparable to a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience with a high school diploma
