This is a fully remote position, open to residents across Canada – can be based in any city, province, or territory.

About The Role
As a Tax Services Associate, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional client experience, building strong and lasting client relationships within the CRA and tax services domain. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Prepare and file corporate, personal, federal, and provincial tax returns.
- Prepare tax slips such as T4s, T5s, and other relevant slips as required.
- Prepare compilation engagements
- Respond to CRA audits and notices.
- Conduct research and prepare responses to tax queries from clients and the LiveCA team.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding tax matters.
- Attend client meetings to observe and support managers on tax-related discussions.
- Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Provide coverage for colleagues on tax-related tasks as needed.
- Contribute to innovation, which may include initiating tax process improvements, documenting new or updated tax procedures, developing standardized tax templates, and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*
- You’ve started (or completed) your Canadian CPA designation
- You have experience at a Canadian accounting firm with compliance, tax and/or assurance engagements
- You have Canadian tax knowledge and experience
- You have strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing priorities
- You have a passion for excellent client services
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal
