Department Overview:
TD’s Analytics, Insights and Artificial Intelligence (AI2) team provides consultative support with data & analytics-based business insights and/or solutions to guide decision making and/or strategic planning. AI2 is an exciting team to be a part of as we are transforming how we provide key insights and opportunities for our business partners to better serve our customers.
The Corporate Environmental and Sustainability (E&S) AI2 team supports TD’s Sustainability and Climate-Risk Strategies by developing and operationalizing complex data and analytics models within TD’s Azure Cloud. Day to day activities include interfacing with business partners to address their analytics needs by providing end-to-end support of data, reporting, analytics, insights, and artificial intelligence solutions.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Scientist III to support E&S AI2 by leading out end to end analytics initiatives and providing actionable insights that drive business actions and value. This includes data exploration, requirements gathering, presenting insights and operationalizing advance analytics capabilities. This role is crucial in supporting all workstreams in E&S AI2 related to model development and analytics:
CUSTOMER

  • Partner with business owners to spot opportunities and advocate data science.
  • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions by grasping context and systems.
  • Use Python, statistics, and analytics to analyze big data.
  • Present findings clearly to stakeholders through visualizations.
  • Team up with analysts, engineers, and developers to create scalable data science solutions for long-term business value.

SHAREHOLDER

  • Educate and empower the organization by communicating scientific principles, statistical validation techniques, and best practices to drive alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure programs, policies, and practices are managed effectively, align with business and regulatory requirements, and foster a culture of risk management and control.
  • Monitor performance, assess service and productivity levels, and lead actions to address issues while identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, thought leadership, and supporting complex decision-making.
  • Promote a positive, innovative, and collaborative work environment, support team development through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and open communication.
  • Build and nurture productive relationships with internal and external partners, champion diversity and equity, and act as a brand ambassador for the business and the organization.
