What You’ll Be Contributing

  • Provide leadership, direction and management to the Warehouse, Logistics, Receiving, Shipping and Picking teams;
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate the team to deliver safely, efficiently, and timely the flow of material through the supply chain against SLAs & SOPs;
  • Manage $10M or more in transportation and logistics expenditure
  • Maintain and develop metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and safety records;
  • Implement, maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements;
  • Establishes, follows and enforces safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements;
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues;
  • Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation;
  • Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements;
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery;
  • Direct distribution center operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy and timelines objectives;
  • Negotiate transportation rates and services & maintain current relationships with freight forwarders;
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers;
  • Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities;
  • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios;
  • Direct outbound and inbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.

What Sets You Apart

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a leadership position in related field is mandatory;
  • ERP system experience is mandatory knowledge of SAP is an asset;
  • Experience with WMS and TMS is mandatory;
  • Baccalaureate in Business Administration an asset;
  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt, knowledge in project management, lean principles and 5S an asset;
  • Must have interpersonal skills & a team player attitude and integrate seamlessly;
  • Must have a sense of responsibility and confidentiality;
  • Demonstrate past achievements on logistics operations at a global level;
  • Sense of urgency and desire to make an impact.
