What You’ll Be Contributing
- Provide leadership, direction and management to the Warehouse, Logistics, Receiving, Shipping and Picking teams;
- Lead, train, coach, and motivate the team to deliver safely, efficiently, and timely the flow of material through the supply chain against SLAs & SOPs;
- Manage $10M or more in transportation and logistics expenditure
- Maintain and develop metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and safety records;
- Implement, maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements;
- Establishes, follows and enforces safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements;
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues;
- Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation;
- Monitor product import and export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements;
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery;
- Direct distribution center operations to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy and timelines objectives;
- Negotiate transportation rates and services & maintain current relationships with freight forwarders;
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers;
- Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities;
- Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios;
- Direct outbound and inbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
What Sets You Apart
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a leadership position in related field is mandatory;
- ERP system experience is mandatory knowledge of SAP is an asset;
- Experience with WMS and TMS is mandatory;
- Baccalaureate in Business Administration an asset;
- Lean Six Sigma Green belt, knowledge in project management, lean principles and 5S an asset;
- Must have interpersonal skills & a team player attitude and integrate seamlessly;
- Must have a sense of responsibility and confidentiality;
- Demonstrate past achievements on logistics operations at a global level;
- Sense of urgency and desire to make an impact.
