Main Responsibilities include:
- Ensure safety and security policies are in place and standards are consistently implemented across the network.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement the station Emergency Response Plan.
- Implement Menzies Aviation Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Eight Pillars of Management.
- Provide timely regional management reports weekly and monthly.
- Plan and coordinate safety and security priorities within the region to maintain consistent standards.
- Drive corporate safety and security programs.
- Support operational management with guidance on safety and security matters.
- Identify hazards and develop policies and procedures for risk control.
- Promote a ‘safety first’ culture proactively.
- Support field operations in implementing safe working procedures and conduct daily inspections and audits.
- Establish and support the Health and Safety Committee.
- Liaise with regulatory aviation authorities to ensure compliance.
- Monitor legislative changes and update training requirements accordingly.
- Distribute safety and security alerts to increase awareness across the network.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Report significant deficiencies in products, materials, and documentation.
- Suggest improvements to safety and security working practices.
- Conduct audits as specified in the Quality Assurance Manual.
- Ensure all External Operational Manuals are current.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive experience in safety and security fields.
- Ability to design and deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Knowledge of the aviation industry.
- Project and people management skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively with senior management.
- Understanding of diversity in the workplace.
