Role Overview
Seeking an Intermediate to Senior Network Consultant with strong networking expertise to support our team in documenting and enhancing our network security environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating and updating technical documentation—primarily Visio diagrams—while also providing hands-on support for daily firewall operations.
This is a hybrid role , with a preference for candidates who can be onsite for half days to collaborate directly with the team and assist with near-daily ad-hoc firewall changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation (Visio diagrams and related artifacts).
- Provide operational support for Palo Alto firewall changes, alleviating workload on the internal team.
- Collaborate with internal IT and security staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across documentation and configurations.
- Offer subject matter expertise in networking and network security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Network Consultant or in a similar role (Intermediate to Senior level).
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls .
- Solid understanding of network architecture, routing, and security principles.
- Proficiency in creating and updating network documentation, especially Visio diagrams .
