Our client is seeking a Java Developer (with Azure SQL expertise) to design, develop, and optimize scalable data-driven applications and platforms. This role blends strong hands-on Java development with advanced database skills in Azure SQL and exposure to modern cloud-based big data ecosystems.

Must Haves:

Strong database skills with expertise in writing complex SQL queries in Azure SQL

8+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Nice to Have:

Experience with Azure Databricks
Core Responsibilities & Skills:

Build and optimize big data pipelines using Spark and Delta Lake

Apply solid data modelling principles (OLTP, OLAP, dimensional modelling)

Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and job orchestration in Databricks

Architect scalable big data systems on Azure, ensuring cost-efficient storage and compute strategies

Support schema evolution, data versioning, and secure access patterns

Work with Azure Data Lake, Event Hub/Kafka, and apply governance, lineage, and security best practices

Collaborate in agile teams and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for data engineering
Preferred Certifications:
Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Oracle Java SE Programmer
