Associate People Business Partner
We are transforming, growing, and evolving. We’re looking to add an Associate People Business Partner (PBP) to our team during this exciting phase of transformation. This role will have dual focus on managing and executing transactional processes, as well as serving as the frontline point of contact for employees and managers in specific client groups.
In this role, you will analyze, measure, and improve processes for the Canada Advisory People (HR) team by providing a wide range of HR administrative, process and technical solutions. You will also support ongoing data needs, conduct research, and coordinate assigned projects to ensure they are implemented and maintained while meeting HR objectives and strategic deliverables. This position serves as the key intake point for employee and manager questions, researching and resolving issues of moderate complexity involving consulting with Generalists, Centers of Excellence experts, and Senior Business Partners.
Additionally, you will own one or more key projects or areas of transformation for the People team, developing expertise and providing leadership within the assigned area(s) (e.g., Learning & Development, Onboarding, Analytics. etc.). You will work to support the broader Canada People Team in the assigned subject areas, highlighting and resolving issues impacting the employee population and actively improving our function.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Implement, manage, and transform processes.
Take ownership of key HR projects, aggregating data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation.
Make recommendations for policies and activities to strengthen the company culture by suggesting ways to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
Collect, aggregate, and analyze HR metrics and data, from a variety of systems for trends and insights with attention to talent initiatives, hiring practices, employee engagement, attrition, and compliance with employment regulations, while assessing data quality.
Prepare and present analysis to senior HR and business colleagues, with excellent attention to detail.
Respond to unemployment claim inquiries and background check adjudication requests.
Support employee and frontline managers day-to-day issues and questions.
Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures as they relate to individuals and the company objectives.
Supervise transactions related to onboarding of new employees, status changes for existing employees and terminations of employees.
Lead compliance with regulations and best practices.
Participate in efforts related to employee engagement, employee relations, performance, benefit, and compensation review and stakeholder relationships.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
3-5 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to operate with sense of urgency, attention to detail, and skilled in comprehending, analyzing, and interpreting documents.
Self-starter, strong bias for action, excellent ability to multitask and to handle competing priorities.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service internal teams.
Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, talent, and employee management software.
Experience collaborating across departments to facilitate successful project completion.
The confidence to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.
