Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Risk Analyst V for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
- Independently execute testing of Data Controls.
- Develop testing documentation and results reporting in line with requirements.
- Understand the Enterprise Data Management procedures and requirements, and effectively apply that understanding in the execution of work.
- Understand controls for managing data risk, evaluate their effectiveness, and develop recommendations for enhancement.
- Interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and analysis results to inform decision-making.
- Work independently as a subject matter expert on supported assets (applications/EUCs) and Data Risk Management requirements; may coach and educate others.
- Execute on complex and/or non-standard requests.
- Build out the project testing function, including integrating cross-pod processes within your area of expertise.
- Perform complex analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Confident professional with a good understanding of data governance/data management principles, and experience working with varied stakeholders.
- Undergraduate degree/technical certificate or 4+ years relevant experience in a challenge function (e.g., testing, Data Governance, Risk Oversight, Internal Audit) within financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Governance and Data Control Frameworks.
- Ability to operate in Agile or Waterfall environments with tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with business units, technology teams, SMEs, senior management, and partners.
- Additional skills that are advantageous:
- Awareness of Risk/Compliance systems and data pipelines.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Access).
- Knowledge of Alteryx or similar End User tools.
- Ability to read SQL scripts.
