Overview

To support its strong growth, KPMG is recruiting professionals in the financial services sector. You will be involved in projects with clients in the financial services industry, including insurance companies and major Canadian banks.
You will work on engagements related to:
- quantitative modelling
- actuarial science
You are highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to develop value-added recommendations for clients. You have a strong ability to grasp key concepts quickly and work well in a team environment.
What You Will Do
- Assist with process reviews, optimization, strategic support, and model reviews.
- Conduct actuarial research and statistical analysis for pricing.
- Develop actuarial models using deterministic and stochastic methods, including machine learning techniques.
- Develop tools and analytics in the actuarial context.
- Support financial risk management activities, including metrics, models, and governance.
- Help draft deliverables and interact effectively with team members and clients.
Qualifications
Required skills include understanding of insurance companies, strong analytical and communication skills, initiative, organizational skills, and a relevant degree or professional designation (e.g., ACAS, FCAS). A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques and programming languages like Python and R.
- Experience with actuarial software such as Emblem, Radar, or Earnix.
- Knowledge of data languages like SQL, VBA, SAS.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
