The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Technical Consultant to join our Managed Services team. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and CPI (Cloud Platform Integration). You will work across multiple clients, ensuring seamless data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems, contributing to AMS delivery and client success.
Key Responsibilities:
- AMS Delivery:
- Provide ongoing support for SAP Cloud Integrations within multiple AMS engagements.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end interfaces.
- Configure message mappings (XSLT, JSON/XML), routing logic, and content modifiers for efficient processing.
- Monitor Integrations and manage service tickets, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
- Participate in release management, regression testing, and deployment of SAP platform releases.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Document changes, SOPs, and user guides for client reference.
- Stay current with SAP platform updates and AMS delivery trends.
- Recommend best practices based on new product features and updates.
- Provide training and guidance to client stakeholders and junior consultants.
- Collaboration & Client Engagement:
- Work closely with client stakeholders, AMS delivery leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Lead regular client calls to review defect status, issues, and enhancement requests.
- Provide clear updates, facilitate prioritization, and ensure alignment on next steps.
- Build strong relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with SAP CI and SAP API-M.
- Deep knowledge of API frameworks and SAP CI connectors such as ODATA, SOAP, RESTful Services, IDoc, HTTPS, SFTP, ABAP proxies.
- Good understanding of XML/Atom, JSON, EDI, cXML, Plain Text data formats.
- Understanding of data transmission and security protocols.
- Strong background in Java, Python, or other object-oriented languages.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform (Cloud Foundry) and platform services.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to Kubernetes/Kyma or other cloud-native platforms.
- Experience with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in HR/HCM domain.
- Experience with Boomi.
- Experience with ABAP programming, especially HR-ABAP.
- Knowledge of PI/PO or other SAP Integration products.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL processes.
- Experience with Agile and ITIL delivery models.
- Previous client-facing consulting or managed services experience.
- Bilingual in English and French.
