Location: Victoria
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will lead project teams, direct consultant coordination, and manage client relationships while championing design excellence and technical precision. You bring a strong foundation in building systems and sustainable design, along with the leadership skills to deliver high-quality work and support team growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and technical execution of architectural projects from inception to construction completion.
  • Provide conceptual and detailed design leadership, applying a rigorous and curious design process.
  • Oversee the production of comprehensive construction documents including specifications, tender packages, and permit drawings.
  • Manage and coordinate internal teams and external consultants across disciplines, ensuring alignment on design intent, quality, and schedule.
  • Direct and execute contract administration, including site reviews, change management, and project close-out.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles and strategies into project work.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff and contribute to the firm’s collaborative and accountable studio culture.

What you Bring

  • Degree in Architecture and a valid license to practice architecture in Canada
  • AIBC Registered
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects from concept to completion
  • Strong portfolio of completed projects that highlight your ability to integrate natural elements, sustainability, and functionality in architectural design
  • Proficient in industry-standard software such as Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and building codes is essential
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement (internal & external)
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and precise documentation
  • Institutional project experience (K-12 Schools, Post-Secondary, Healthcare)
