What You’ll Do
In this role, you will lead project teams, direct consultant coordination, and manage client relationships while championing design excellence and technical precision. You bring a strong foundation in building systems and sustainable design, along with the leadership skills to deliver high-quality work and support team growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical execution of architectural projects from inception to construction completion.
- Provide conceptual and detailed design leadership, applying a rigorous and curious design process.
- Oversee the production of comprehensive construction documents including specifications, tender packages, and permit drawings.
- Manage and coordinate internal teams and external consultants across disciplines, ensuring alignment on design intent, quality, and schedule.
- Direct and execute contract administration, including site reviews, change management, and project close-out.
- Integrate sustainable design principles and strategies into project work.
- Serve as a mentor to junior staff and contribute to the firm’s collaborative and accountable studio culture.
What you Bring
- Degree in Architecture and a valid license to practice architecture in Canada
- AIBC Registered
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects from concept to completion
- Strong portfolio of completed projects that highlight your ability to integrate natural elements, sustainability, and functionality in architectural design
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and building codes is essential
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement (internal & external)
- Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and precise documentation
- Institutional project experience (K-12 Schools, Post-Secondary, Healthcare)
