Under close supervision, performs basic architectural assignments with detailed instructions, assisting the project team across various project phases.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
- Incorporates sustainable design solutions into projects.
- Assists in developing, modifying, and reviewing drawings to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Supports the team in meeting project schedules.
- Helps develop project scope, plans, and services, translating concepts for clients and team members.
- Gathers understanding of client requirements, standards, and policies.
- Prepares 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings.
- Builds models for review.
- Performs basic design computations and product research.
- Assists with materials and system research.
- Ensures document standards are met and documents are archived properly.
- May assist in construction administration document management.
- Potentially mentors intern staff.
- Promotes sustainable work practices and a green workplace culture.
- Maintains a commitment to excellent client service.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture required.
- LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Must have or be eligible for a reliability or higher security clearance with PSPC.
