Key Responsibilities
Leadership Development & Team Support
- Work closely with the Store Manager and senior leaders to learn key management functions
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Support staff supervision, providing daily guidance and helping to resolve frontline challenges
- Learn how to coach, motivate, and build strong, high-performing teams
Store Operations & Policy Compliance
- Shadow the Store Manager to gain experience in managing daily operations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and managing shift transitions
- Ensure store cleanliness, health & safety, and adherence to company policies and SOPs
- Participate in audits and ensure operational documentation is completed accurately
Customer Experience & Service Recovery
- Learn how to deliver outstanding customer experiences and resolve issues professionally
- Observe and contribute to maintaining a welcoming, well-organized, and customer-first environment
- Develop communication skills that help de-escalate challenges and build lasting customer trust
Sales & Merchandising Exposure
- Assist in the execution of in-store promotions and merchandising initiatives
- Learn how to analyze sales data, understand store KPIs, and suggest strategies for improvement
- Gain hands-on experience in visual merchandising and product placement best practices
Inventory & Financial Administration
- Support inventory control efforts including receiving, restocking, and shrink prevention
- Participate in ordering via the ‘Just In Time’ system under guidance from store leadership
- Learn the basics of financial reporting, cash handling, and daily reconciliation processes
Training & Development
- Completion of required Lessonly training modules
- Ongoing participation in workshops and brand education sessions to stay current on wellness trends and company initiatives
- Commitment to attendance, punctuality, team collaboration, and reliability
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications And Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a retail environment, preferably with some leadership exposure
- Passion for health, wellness, and customer service
- A desire to grow into a long-term leadership role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
- Experience or interest in the natural health or grocery industry is an asset
- Comfort working on your feet and lifting up to 40 lbs
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Completion of required Lessonly training modules
