ICM Asset Management is an alternative asset manager focused on owning, operating and investing in real assets. We offer retail, private client and institutional Advisors an array of investment opportunities focused on real estate, private debt, and music royalties. We are seeking an Associate Director, Sales to support our business development efforts and help grow our Advisor base across Canada.

Based in Calgary and reporting to the Managing Director, Sales, this role is responsible for managing inbound inquiries, supporting the external sales team with lead follow-up, and engaging prospective Advisors and Advisors through phone and email outreach. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator with a passion for relationship building and a strong interest in investment products.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with prospective Advisors and Advisors through outbound phone calls and emails
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from clients, Advisors, and interested Advisors
  • Support the external sales team by managing lead follow-up and tracking relationship progress
  • Use sales enablement tools such as HubSpot to support outreach and targeting
  • Introduce ICM’s investment offerings to prospective clients in a clear, professional, and compliant manner
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings or calls between Advisors and senior members of the sales team
  • Prepare and distribute client-facing documents, offering materials, and presentations
  • Uphold a high standard of service in all written and verbal interactions
  • Collaborate with the Sales Admin team to ensure smooth onboarding and documentation workflows
  • Help manage campaign execution and follow-up from marketing-led initiatives (e.g., webinars, email blasts)
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on the distribution of fund updates, newsletters, and event invitations
  • Maintain and organize communication records, notes, and key follow-up actions for the sales team

Advisor Experience & Internal Collaboration

  • Contribute feedback to improve sales processes, CRM workflows, and client communication templates
  • Participate in internal sales meetings and assist with reporting on pipeline and outreach activity

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing sales, business development, or inside sales role
  • Diploma in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to manage and convert leads through email and phone engagement
  • Comfortable handling objections and tailoring messaging to various Advisor profiles
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Experience supporting or selling investment products, ideally in real estate, private capital, or wealth management

Preferred/Nice to Have:

  • Experience coordinating with marketing and external wholesalers to execute campaigns
  • Exposure to platforms such as Fundserv and HubSpot
  • Experience with outbound call tracking systems
  • Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset
