Position Summary: The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must ensure that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams, including recruitment, training, and development of associates.
- Develop and assess team members, promote Walmart’s brand, and collaborate with the Prof Services District Manager and Store Management team.
- Operate the Pharmacy to meet plans and budgets, manage scheduling, conduct performance reviews, and develop business action plans.
- Maintain accurate inventory, address customer complaints, and ensure a clean, professional environment.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and ensure the Pharmacy is operational during posted hours.
- Support other health care providers within the store and ensure excellent patient and customer experiences.
- Accept prescriptions, counsel patients, ensure proper storage, and follow SOPs/OBWs.
- Protect patient privacy and comply with regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Age 16 or older
- Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA – Additional Prescribing Authorization)
