Responsibilities
The relief pharmacist assists the pharmacy manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include managing, supporting, and embodying the company’s core values of respect, customer service, and excellence. Use your knowledge and skills to meet patient medication needs, provide patient-centered care in partnership with patients and healthcare professionals, and aim to improve health outcomes or maintain/enhance patient quality of life. Maintain your provincial license, comply with current pharmacy laws and regulations, and obtain necessary certifications or credits, including scope of practice activities. Practice ethically and professionally, ensuring compliance with legal standards. Determine, evaluate, interpret, and dispense appropriate medications safely and effectively. Communicate and educate to optimize patient care and promote health while respecting confidentiality. Collaborate with pharmacy managers to ensure practice standards are met in medication distribution.
Minimum Skills
- Age: 16 or older
- License: Pharmacist License (secondary permit in Alberta: CA_APA – Additional Prescribing Authorization)
