Job Description – Lead AI Security Software Engineer
Are you passionate about applying large language models (LLMs) and AI agents to areas where they can have a significant impact? Do you take pride in delivering measurable, meaningful results?
As a Lead AI Security Software Engineer, you’ll design AI agents that help product engineers solve security issues at scale and with high reliability. You’ll use the latest frameworks, protocols, and patterns to implement solutions while upholding the highest development standards.
About the Role:
- Build AI Security Agents: Design and implement intelligent systems that automatically detect and remediate security vulnerabilities across the platform.
- Architect Scalable Solutions: Develop robust, well-documented APIs and infrastructure capable of supporting enterprise-level security processes.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Establish testing frameworks and development standards to ensure secure, reliable deployments.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with security and engineering teams to deliver measurable security improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Python development with modern frameworks
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic LLM-powered systems
- Proven experience building scalable REST APIs and microservices
- Hands-on AWS experience (IAM, SQS, S3, EKS, ECS, EC2)
- Infrastructure as Code expertise (CDK or Terraform)
- Strong testing practices and CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions
- Deep knowledge of QA practices and test writing (unit, feature, regression, integration, end-to-end)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, vector databases)
- Experience with security scanning tools (SAST, SCA, IaC scanning, container scanning) – nice to have
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and remediation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred)
- Duration: 6+ months
- Start Date: Immediate
- Location: Toronto preferred; in-office twice a week
