As a Toronto-based Claims Specialist – Energy, Property, Construction (EPC) you will play a critical role in AXA XL’s claims for the EPC team. You will handle a wide variety of first party property claim across 3 lines of business. Expect to work closely with your manager and fellow Claims colleagues to drive files to resolution and interact/collaborate frequently with Underwriting teams. Together, you will be tasked with achieving the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by resolving and settling claims proactively.
What You’ll Be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Evaluating first party property policies in determining how coverage may apply.
- Assigning/working with independent adjusters in the investigation of said claims to constrain loss costs, apply coverage and develop effective action plans to control quantum.
- Communicate/correspond with policyholders and brokers as required throughout the lifecycle of the claim, managing the relationships of both.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., underwriting, retained vendors) in providing prompt, timely, and the highest degree of customer experience that can be accomplished under challenging circumstances. Participation in new
