We are seeking a dedicated Principal Investigator (PI) to lead and oversee early-phase (Phase I/IIa) clinical research studies at a specialized research facility in Montreal. The PI will ensure participant safety, maintain data integrity, and uphold the highest ethical and regulatory standards throughout the trial process.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for physicians, whether experienced in clinical research or new to the field, who are looking for a stimulating, collaborative environment with predictable hours and healthy participants. Full training will be provided to those without previous research experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Principal Investigator for assigned early-phase clinical trials, ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, and study protocols.
- Screen participants and determine eligibility through medical evaluations and physical examinations.
- Oversee dosing, monitor participant safety, and manage any adverse events.
- Review and approve trial documents, including study protocols, SOPs, and safety reports.
- Maintain open communication with sponsors, CROs, and internal teams.
- Participate in protocol review meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Provide leadership to clinical staff and ensure smooth day-to-day study operations.
- Occasionally attend on weekends if a study requires it (rare).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluent bilingual skills in English and French (both spoken and written).
- Availability for full-time work (minimum 4 days/week), Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable engaging with study participants, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Clinical research experience preferred but not required — training will be provided.
