Position: Merchandise Assistant
Help and support to the Buyer(s) in planning and execution for a profitable home goods business. Responsibilities include:
- Managing all clerical functions within the buying department.
- Completing and managing purchase order entries and communicating with vendors and buyers to ensure timely delivery.
- Following up with vendors regularly to ensure shipments arrive as ordered.
- Managing and maintaining monthly planograms for accuracy.
- Compiling and analyzing reports to identify style sell-through for planning purposes.
- Analyzing reports to identify strong and weak styles and communicating with buyers for potential repeats.
- Managing and maintaining samples, including movement and shipping.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with Photoshop and/or Illustrator is a plus.
- Knowledge of AS400 is an asset.
- Understanding of the merchandising process.
Location: Toronto, ON (in-office, no remote or hybrid options)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, occasional holidays and weekends, overtime as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $40,000/year
