About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to act as a key technical authority on cloud architecture, with a particular focus on Microsoft Azure . This role will be instrumental in supporting the organization’s shift from a primarily on-premises environment toward cloud-native platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Azure cloud SME , designing secure and scalable architectures.
- Create cloud migration roadmaps for legacy/on-prem applications (most systems are still on-prem, migration will be gradual).
- Partner with application teams to ensure all new solutions are built cloud-first using modern architectures (containers, microservices, serverless).
- Deliver technical designs, reference architectures, and patterns to accelerate engineering teams.
- Ensure solutions meet PCI DSS, security, and regulatory standards within e-commerce.
- Research new tools and frameworks, recommending strategies for long-term adoption.
- Enable secure connectivity and integrations using technologies such as Cloudflare and Layer 7 API Gateway.
- Support hybrid infrastructure, ensuring seamless interoperability between cloud and on-premises systems.
- Provide infrastructure patterns for mission-critical e-commerce platforms
What You Bring
- 10+ years of infrastructure architecture experience, including 5+ years in cloud architecture (Azure required).
- Strong background designing solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Expertise in Azure services across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS (networking, storage, compute, identity, monitoring).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and DevOps practices (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, GKE).
- Solid understanding of networking, ExpressRoute/VPN, and security principles.
- Hands-on experience with Cloudflare (CDN/edge security) and Layer 7 API management .
- Deep understanding of PCI compliance in hybrid and cloud-based e-commerce environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Bonus Skills (Assets)
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud designs .
- Background in financial services, fintech, or payments.
- Knowledge of modern observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Azure Monitor).
