NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, plus on-call duties.
We are seeking motivated individuals to support the development of clinical and laboratory services in H&T and contribute to our active clinical trials portfolio. The successful candidate will be based at QEUH, providing non-malignant haematology services, including outpatient, day case, consultative, and laboratory commitments.
On-call responsibilities will be at QEUH, with a maximum frequency of 1 in 7.
This full-time post is offered on a 10 PA basis, with consideration for part-time applicants.
All new consultants will initially be offered at least one Core Supporting Professional Activity (SPA), covering CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, revalidation, and job planning. An additional non-DCC SPA can be negotiated based on the candidate’s support needs and service requirements.
