Position Summary
As a Corporate Accounts Director at STERIS, you are responsible for successfully managing Canadian corporate Customer relationships. Your focus will be on Group Purchasing Organizations, Provincial Health Authorities, and other high-priority hospital systems as designated. You will develop long-term relationships, promote STERIS holistically, and maintain a favorable image of STERIS as a Customer-focused healthcare leader. You will identify and develop alternative market opportunities by establishing and leveraging contacts outside normal call patterns. The Corporate Accounts Director should possess extensive knowledge of STERIS’s products and services, internal capabilities, and be skilled in negotiation both internally and externally.
Coverage
This position is nationwide and covers all of Canada.
What you will do as a Corporate Accounts Director
- Manage internal and external resources to ensure successful contract negotiations and implementation.
- Work with Canadian leadership to align on communications and growth strategies.
- Create compliant agreements with VP of Commercial Operations to support business growth.
- Coordinate with the US Corporate Accounts team for alignment on approaches and promotional opportunities.
- Ensure success of existing and new products/services through focused programs at the Corporate Accounts and GPO level.
- Develop and implement strategies for successful penetration of Corporate Accounts, managing all aspects of agreements from inception to renewal or termination.
- Provide progress reports and analysis to VP of Commercial Operations Healthcare Canada.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities through corporate contacts.
- Manage a portfolio of 10-15 accounts, including GPOs and health systems.
- Develop strategies for specific opportunities, engaging field teams and resources as needed.
- Monitor progress with scorecards, adjust strategies, and communicate results.
- Collaborate with management to evaluate targets and prioritize programs.
- Develop pricing models, manage contract details, and ensure compliance.
- Plan and present enterprise business reviews.
- Maintain close relationships with key distributors and provide product education and support.
- Possess strong knowledge of STERIS products and how to position them as solutions.
- Provide product demonstrations, presentations, and customer-specific solutions.
- Balance current customer needs with prospecting new business.
- Utilize sales resources effectively to maximize outcomes.
- Participate in onboarding and training programs for new hires.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years relevant leadership experience at STERIS
- 7 years of healthcare sales experience
- 2 years of sales management experience
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex environments
- Willingness to travel up to 60% overnight
- Compliance with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
Preferred:
- Bilingual in French and English
- Experience in project management
