Position: Mid-Level Corporate Associate – Corporate Group (Private Company Focus)
Location: Vancouver, BC

The Vancouver office has a particularly strong Corporate Group , advising on both public and private M&A, securities, corporate governance, and private company work. The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate Group in Vancouver, with a primary focus on private company clients . This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and clients on a wide variety of matters, including corporate governance, private M&A, and shareholder arrangements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Advise private companies on structuring, governance, and compliance matters.
  • Lead and support private M&A transactions, joint ventures, reorganizations, and shareholder arrangements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Work directly with clients, delivering practical and business-focused legal advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and offices on complex files.
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of corporate law experience, ideally with a focus on private company work.
  • Experience in private M&A, reorganizations, shareholder arrangements, and commercial agreements.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • A proactive, business-oriented approach and sound judgment.
  • Team player with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively.
  • Membership (or eligibility) with the Law Society of British Columbia.
