Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings.They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our client.
Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $47 per hour
Location : Toronto, ON
Location Type : Hybrid; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; 9 AM to 5 PM
Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities are divided equally between data engineering and Power BI development:
- 50% Data Engineering: Utilize your skills in Python, SQL, and Spark to support various data engineering projects, ensuring robust data pipelines and efficient data processing.
- 50% Power BI Development: Leverage your Power BI expertise to create insightful, interactive and visually appealing dashboards, providing valuable business intelligence solutions.
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- 5+ years proficiency in Power BI: Advanced knowledge of Power BI for creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations
- 2+ years experience in Data Modeling: Expertise in data modeling, including the creation and optimization of data models to enhance performance and usability
- DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Strong command of DAX for building complex calculations and aggregations
- Power Query/M: 5+ years experience with Power Query for data transformation and cleaning
- SQL: Ability to write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation from various databases, minimum 5 years experience
- ETL Processes: Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools to integrate data from different sources
- Programing language: Proficiency in some programing language like python (Understanding of data types, variables, loops, conditionals, and error handling. Familiarity with Python’s standard library and commonly used modules.)
- Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and practices
- Project Management: Experience leading BI projects, including planning, execution, and delivery and managing/maintaining the project backlog with stakeholders
