Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Endodontics. The department is committed to continuing education and collaboration with the School of Dentistry clinics and departments.
Daily Operations
- Clinical Instructor for Pre/Post-doctoral academia
- Lectures/Didactic Instructions
- Laboratory Exercise Instructions
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Responsibilities
The faculty member will provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for predoctoral students. They will create and deliver lectures for didactic and laboratory classes, oversee endodontic procedures with students in clinics, collaborate with other departments, engage in research, and contribute to service activities. Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills and experience in educating pre- and post-doctoral students
- Experience working with diverse populations of patients and students
- Proficiency in periodontics, including diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical and nonsurgical therapies, dental implantology, laser dentistry, and sedation
Required Education and Experience
DDS/DMD degree or equivalent from an accredited US or Canadian institution. Eligibility for Tennessee Dental License and Faculty licensure are required. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, inclusivity, and a commitment to diversity. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience.
