It’s an exciting opportunity to join Golden Life as we expand our seniors housing, care, and services across western Canada.
We are seeking a permanent, full-time Director of Clinical Care to lead our Village Nursing Care team at Kootenay Street Village in Cranbrook, BC .
If you are a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience and a passion for providing high-quality care to seniors, we would love to hear from you. We also welcome Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with relevant experience, as consideration will be based on your expertise and background.
The successful candidate will:
- Oversee the nursing team, ensuring clear lines of authority and communication.
- Be accountable for all aspects of resident care and quality improvement activities.
- Support residents in living their best lives.
- Assist in preparing and implementing comprehensive, tailored care plans.
- Ensure care aligns with legislative requirements and organizational philosophy.
- Implement and monitor RAI MDS programs and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with educational institutions and manage practicum placements.
- Establish relationships with stakeholders, manage family and client concerns, and participate in strategic planning.
- Handle operational activities, including budgeting and expenditures.
- Participate in accreditation and committee activities.
- Work on call as needed and collaborate with the Quality & Clinical Practice team.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related health discipline (Masters preferred), current registration with BCCNM, and a minimum of five years of management experience in a multidisciplinary setting, preferably in long-term care. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check are essential. Proof of immunizations and a negative TB screening are required.

What we offer:
Salary range: $89,440 – $117,374 per year, commensurate with experience. We provide a respectful work environment, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a voluntary retirement plan with company contributions.
