Role Overview
The Director of Data & Analytics will lead the FC Data & Analytics team, scaling our data and analytics capabilities and driving strategic initiatives for the FC Studio. Reporting to the Senior Producer of EA FC Live, the role requires onsite presence at the Vancouver office at least three days a week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement industry-leading data and live service capabilities strategy aligned with FC goals, including talent, tools, and processes.
- Partner with leadership across the FC organization to inform strategic decisions and improve business operations, including ML/AI strategies.
- Lead and mentor teams responsible for business cases, game performance analytics, data pipelines, data science, predictive modeling, and algorithm development.
- Collaborate with game development and product teams to deliver actionable insights that enhance player experience and content strategies.
- Communicate team work, priorities, and insights effectively with executives and partner teams.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates have 10+ years of work experience and 5+ years managing full-stack analytics teams. Key responsibilities include setting vision across data disciplines, managing managers, handling multiple workstreams, and guiding strategy with data-driven insights. A passion for team enthusiasm and leadership is essential.
Technical Skills
- Experience with large streaming data volumes
- Proficiency in SQL, including stored procedures and UDFs
- Developing BI reports using PowerBI, Looker, Tableau
- Building cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
- Working with Snowflake as an analytics layer
- Using task management tools like Jira, Trello, Monday, Asana
Compensation & Benefits
In British Columbia, the salary range is CAD $151,800 – $208,900, depending on location and experience. Benefits include vacation, sick days, parental leave top-up, health/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, and potential bonuses/equity. Compensation may vary based on individual factors.
