This successful global consultancy has an exciting growth mandate, planning to double the size of the organization over the next 7 years. Recognized as a specialist boutique in performance improvement and business turnaround, they are experiencing significant growth and offering great opportunities. Currently, their Performance Improvement practice is top-heavy with high utilization and has just had a very successful year.
The firm is restructuring to create opportunities for promotions, emphasizing a hands-on, delivery-focused approach. Unlike larger consultancies, they have eliminated the audit channel to focus on execution. They need a senior, delivery-oriented Director who can manage projects involving cost reduction, restructuring, M&A, and operational strategy implementation, particularly for distressed or underperforming companies.
The role involves working directly in teams of 2-3 on projects, managing workstreams, and working closely with C-level executives such as COO, CFO, and Chief Strategy Officer. The ideal candidate is mature, entrepreneurial, impactful, and results-driven, with a background in industry and top-tier consultancy experience, especially in performance improvement, M&A, restructuring, and corporate finance.
Sector experience is sector-agnostic but preferred in automotive, consumer goods & retail (supply chain), aerospace & defense, manufacturing, engineering, mining, or oil & gas. Candidates should have a first-rate academic background, preferably with an MBA, and hold a Director-level position elsewhere. An engineering degree and language skills (Italian, German, French, or Spanish) are advantageous. Flexibility for European travel and a valid UK residence and travel passport are required.
