Introduction to role:
Are you ready to lead strategic pricing initiatives that make a real difference? As Director of Strategic Pricing at Alexion, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and implementing pricing strategies that ensure patient access to both new and existing products. Collaborating within the Market Access team and partnering with Commercial, Government Affairs, and Global functions, you’ll optimize list and net prices while ensuring compliance with the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB) and Global Pricing Policies. This role is pivotal in governance, forecasting price evolution, structuring deals, and maintaining PMPRB compliance. You’ll also engage directly with health systems, payers, and government partners to implement Product Listing Agreements (PLAs) and make a difference in the lives of patients who live with rare diseases.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop strategic pricing across Alexion’s portfolio of innovative products
- Accountable for pricing compliance and reporting requirements locally and globally including PMPRB reporting, global business case generation and monitoring, and exceptions management
- Lead the development of business cases to support local/global approval of gross and net pricing strategies
- Lead the development of viable deal structures for payer negotiations and build innovative listing agreements for payers that improve near and long-term value contribution
