What You’ll Do
As the Division Controller, you will:
-Oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in reporting and analysis.
-Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders and business partners.
-Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals.
-Deliver insights into cost, productivity, and margin performance.
-Guide capital planning, forecasting, and operational budgeting processes.
-Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies.
Responsibilities
-Lead monthly close process, including journal entries, reporting, and reconciliations.
-Review and approve vendor payments and AR transactions.
-Provide detailed variance analysis and management reporting.
-Support capital projects and financial decision-making.
-Produce weekly/monthly KPI reports and operational dashboards.
-Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives.
-Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and financial modeling.
-Coach and develop junior finance team members.
Who You Are
-You’re a proactive financial leader with:
-A CPA designation and 5+ years of post-designation experience.
-A strong foundation in full-cycle accounting and business operations.
-Experience leading teams and a passion for mentorship.
-Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office tools.
-Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
-Experience in a natural resources (an asset).
-Willingness to live and work in a small community and travel to field operations as needed.
