C.A.T. Global is seeking a Divisional Controller to oversee financial operations within one of our dynamic transport divisions. Play a key role in driving performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting growth across our North American network.

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Finance, the Divisional Controller will provide leadership to the accounting team in responsible for the day-to-day finance activities, business partnering and monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting. You will regulate corporate funds and accounts, approve expenditures.
Responsibilities
- Prepares Monthly Divisional financial statements, cashflow and annual Budget.
- Prepares Monthly Variance Analysis, month, year to date and versus budget.
- Prepare all tax and financial regulatory compliance including the preparation and submission of information to statutory authorities.
- Complies with federal, state provincial, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Oversee Payroll, VAT, other taxes compliance and reporting.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Maintains financial security by ensuring internal controls are well known and adhered to.
- Assesses and recommends cost reduction strategies and drives initiatives to promote efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents and ensures they are in compliance with contractual agreements.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) would be asset
- At least 8 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a multinational enterprise or similar role.
- Experience in the Transport and Logistics would be an asset
- Must be Fluent in English & French
- Strong communication skills to provide effective communication to US & International contacts
- Ability to apply tax regulations as needed
- Strong critical thinking and analytical aptitude
- Well organized with solid judgment, able to multitask and work independently
- Open to Travel
- Advanced in Microsoft Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables.
