We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to collaborate with the engineering team in developing design solutions suited to the project context, budget, and aesthetic requirements. The successful candidate will analyze and interpret design intent to produce efficient technical solutions, coordinate with other disciplines, and oversee the design process through all project phases. Knowledge of building systems, materials, codes, and construction technologies is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design building components, integrating architectural concepts and complying with relevant codes and regulations.
- Create drawings supporting construction projects based on engineering requirements.
- Conduct calculations, research materials and systems, and prepare specifications.
- Assess site conditions, including zoning and site constraints, and perform site surveys and reviews.
- Develop technical specifications and coordinate project documentation.
- Review shop drawings and project products for compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design software.
- Knowledge of electrical systems in various building types.
- Understanding of architectural concepts and building codes.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Registration with a professional engineering body.
Experience
- 7-10 years of relevant project experience.
- Experience with electrical building systems.
