The Role
As an Engineering Manager – Technical Compliance, you’ll be at the heart of our global engineering function, driving technical integrity and governance across a diverse portfolio of defence, aerospace, and engineering projects. This is a unique opportunity to influence how we maintain and strengthen engineering standards across our international operations, making a real impact on national security and global safety.
This full-time, permanent role is based at any of our offices in the UK, Canada or Australia, with flexible working patterns available. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be required.
Day-to-day you’ll be:
- Leading the planning and scheduling of Global Engineering Governance and Assurance (TG&A) activities
- Managing technical governance across engineering processes and frameworks
- Overseeing the Independent Technical Authority (ITA) framework and its assurance
- Communicating changes in TG&A activity to Engineering Integrity teams
- Driving the development and delivery of TG&A training programmes
Essential experience of the Engineering Manager – Technical Compliance:
- Extensive background in systems engineering
- Proven track record across commercial or defence engineering projects
- Strong understanding of process development and technical governance
- Ability to work across international teams and complex programmes
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified Engineer
- Chartered or Professional Engineer status (desirable)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
