Environmental Manager
Location: Home based with occasional travel to Southampton
Salary: circa £50,000 with excellent benefits + travel expenses

Do you want to take the next step in your career with a key player in the waste management industry? If yes, this role could be for you. We have been engaged by one of the UK’s leading waste management organisations to recruit an Environmental Manager. The role involves overseeing various environmental initiatives with local authorities at their Southampton site.
Responsibilities of the Environmental Manager include:
- Ensuring full compliance with environmental legislation
- Maintaining the site Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensuring continued ISO14001 certification
- Monitoring and managing Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, reporting progress towards Net Zero and sustainability goals
- Liaising with the Environment Agency and being the main point of contact for key stakeholders
The successful Environmental Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within waste, chemicals, or a related industry
- A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation
- Preferably, some experience in environmental management or sustainability roles
This position is suitable for an experienced environmental professional who enjoys striving for improvements and best practices.
