Position Overview
The Executive Director will oversee the Women’s College Academic Family Health Team (WCAFHT), Family Practice Health Centre, and Environmental Health and Family Practice, aligning operations with the hospital’s strategic goals. The role requires clinical experience, approachable leadership, and skills in communication, diversity management, conflict resolution, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Participate in Ontario Health initiatives, develop and evaluate programs, foster interprofessional care, and build community partnerships.
- Operations Management: Maintain effective communication, translate strategic goals into operational plans, and ensure seamless integration of services.
- Human Resources: Lead staff recruitment, coaching, performance reviews, professional development, and ensure a safe, positive work environment.
- Financial Management: Collaborate on budgeting, monitor financial operations, and ensure compliance with funding and audit requirements.
- Quality Management: Engage in patient satisfaction initiatives, monitor program quality, and develop quality indicators.
- Professional Development: Promote ongoing learning, staff development, and research activities.
The role requires a Masters in Health Sciences or related field, registration with a relevant regulatory college, at least 10 years of leadership and clinical experience, and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and strategic skills. Knowledge of collective agreements and union management is preferred.
